Pastor Larry L. Polk came to us from Corsicana, TX.
Pastor Polk accepted the Call to become Pastor of New Hope on March 27, 2016.
He served from 1996 to March 26, 2016 as Senior Pastor/Teacher/Servant Leader at Second Mission Baptist Church, Corsicana, TX. His history & experience as Pastor has been with First Mission Baptist Church, Corsicana, Mt. Gilead Baptist Church: Lubbock, St. Paul Baptist Church: Ennis, Greater Ideal Baptist Church: Midland, & New Jerusalem Ministries: Corsicana, & has served with the Southern Baptist Convention. He holds a Masters of Arts Degree in Counseling from Prairie View A&M University, a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Dallas Baptist University, an Associate of Science in General Education from Navarro College & has completed post Masters graduate work by completing 8 hours at Southwest Baptist Theological Seminary & 10 hours at Dallas Baptist University.
Pastor Polk has reconnected the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church to its original affiliations with the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A., Inc. & the Baptist Missionary & Educational (BM&E) Convention of Texas, by establishing affiliation with the Permian Basin Baptist Association in Midland, Texas.
Pastor Polk's Ministry Objective is "To Serve with worth & dignity in the ministry of Reconciliation in the Present Age."
